Son-in Law having a funny turn, or is he?

Had this forwarded from one of my sons-in-law,  I thought he was having a funny turn but all was revealed to be well, in the end .........
Women

A real woman is a man's best friend. She will never stand him up and never let him down. She will reassure him when he feels insecure and comfort him after a bad day. She will inspire him to do things he never thought he could do; to live without fear and forget regret. She will enable him to express his deepest emotions and give in to his most intimate desires. She will make sure he always feels as though he's the most handsome man in the room and will enable him to be the most confident, sexy, seductive and invincible...

No wait...Sorry.

I'm thinking of whisky. It's whisky that does all that shit.

Never mind.

  2. And his best friend isn't your daughter...but Jim Beam, right?
I saw that twist coming--kind of--and, like Julia, at least I wasn't drinking coffee, tea...or whiskey.

So glad you're doing better, Tom. As we drove to Kansas we stopped at Cathedral on the Plains and started another set of candles. I'm no Catholic, but I love this church and all it took to build it. The priest appreciates the donations we make each time we stop, and this time I met him and explained about the friend in the UK, etc. He is now offering "prayers across the seas" for you, too. That's a lot of powerful prayers on your behalf, Tom!!!

    1. Same to you as to Jules above Marylin, sorry ..... hangs head ....

I am grateful for the prayer and the candles my sweet as you know not particulaarly religious and even a bit more anti catholic from the time I went to see the local priest on the advice of the hospital chaplain when my mother died back in 87. The chaplain told me that my mother had been re finding her faith after being ostracised for marrying a protestant and would like to have a catholic service. When I went to see the parish priest he was less than interested and said Agnes Stronach, Loanhead Street , which was one street down from the church. 'I don't know her, she has never attended services here, so no I don't think we will be performing any service for her' It took all of the will power I had not to hit him.. A neighbour then intervened and got him to do the service but there is another horrible story attached to that too, but for another time ... but I am still grateful my love xxxxxx
