Tuna Steak and Stir-Fry

No excuses for not having time to make a nice fresh healthy meal.

Ingredients 1 Large Tuna steak ( don't get really thick ones)

Any stir fry vegetables, shredded, shop bought pre packed is fine.

Method:

lightly cover both sides of the Tuna steak in olive oil, put a pan on to heat

One the pan is hot place steak in pan

Place vegetables in wok and start to stir fry  keep an eye on the tuna as it begins to turn in colour, turn it over.

Continue to stir the vegetables this should only take 3 or 4 minutes.

You can at this point add some good sweet chilli sauce to the top of the tuna, while still in the pan let it drizzle over the edges (didn't for this one)

Once the veg is ready  remove the tuna from the heat.

Turn out the veg onto a plate and place the tuna steak on top, enjoy

Should take about 6 or 7 minutes in total

This one I made last week with some sweet chilli sauce

  2. Hi 4angel, Thanks for stopping by and commenting, leave your name next time round so I can call you by it rather than your nom de plume..

So next time your on the way home after a hard days work pop into the local supermarket and get a bag of stir fry and a tuna steak.... 6 or 7 minutes and you have a great healthy fresh meal ( and then you can pig out like I did with an ice cream afterwards, just to balance the healthy /slobby lifestyle!)

    catch you later

  3. Oh wow! My husband loves fresh tuna but I'm allergic. I would, however, like the recipe for that sweet chili sauce. That looks like something I could dip my asparagus into!

  4. Yum! My brother-in-law went deep-sea fishing recently, and caught a huge tuna, and the skipper cut it up into steaks and flash-froze them on the boat. Guess what we got in the mail? Can't wait to try this recipe...it looks delicious and healthy, too.
